I can’t recommend Great North Auto in Harrogate highly enough. My car developed a problem that initially appeared to be related to the turbo, and understandably, I was expecting a very expensive repair.

However, Andy on reception and all the lads in the workshop took the time to properly diagnose the issue rather than jumping to conclusions. They discovered that the turbo itself was actually fine and that the real problem was just a faulty sensor. This brought the cost of the repair down astronomically.

What impressed me most was their honesty and integrity. As per previous experience and im sure some can relate, another mechanic could easily have taken advantage of the situation, told me the turbo needed replacing, and charged me a huge amount of money for a repair that wasn’t necessary. Instead, they took the time to find the actual fault and only charged me for what genuinely needed fixing.

Andy was fantastic throughout, and all the mechanics were brilliant, professional and trustworthy. It’s refreshing to find a garage where you genuinely feel that the people working on your car have your best interests at heart.

The car was fixed properly, the price was incredibly reasonable considering what I initially thought the problem was, and the whole experience gave me complete confidence in them.
